January 26
Okay, so I’m in quite a funk today. This is my least favorite day of the year. Not to be a downer, but today is the 6th anniversary of my dad dying. It sucks, I’m not gonna lie. I didn’t realize until 3rd block today that today, was the 26th of January. I really am not trying to be depressing to anybody who might be reading this, actually rather than ranting about how much it...

Semester 2, Day Something; Twitter cleanse, Day 1
So I’ve completed day one of my 4 days of being Twitter-free. I didn’t realize how many times a day that I post on there, nor did I realize how weird it would be not sharing random stuff with complete strangers (mostly). Also, I’ve been posting on here more, almost as if I’m making up for my lack of Tweets. Soo, after this post, I’m disappearing from the blogosphere...

Completely pointless video, I was just excited that I was listening to Duran Duran and had to share.

Growing up.
I realize that it’s inevitable, that people don’t live Peter Pan existences (most of them, anyway), but it still surprises me sometimes how much I’ve grown up in recent years. And it surprises me more so that I can see it. Because if I can, it means that other people probably can as well. I’ve started to notice little things that I do that I always associated with...

What House Republicans are voting for today
mnpublius: Today, House Republicans will vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act. In so doing, they will vote to: Allow health insurance companies to refuse coverage based on pre-existing conditions. Kick millions of young adults off their parents’ insurance. Stop 32 million Americans from getting health insurance. Increase the deficit by $230 billion. Reduce Medicare’s solvency by 12...

Martin Luther King Day
Martin Luther King Day is an important holiday for lots of reasons, obviously. Dr. King’s ideas were important in his time, and are just as much so today. So I’d like to say that I have the utmost respect for Dr. King and everything that he did for the civil rights movement and his ideas. He was a great man. Also, I’d like to mention why Martin Luther King Day has significance...

Semester 2, Day I'm not sure
So one thing I’ve concluded this semester is that there are not enough hours in the day. There’s a ton of homework, and although content-wise it isn’t too terrible, there is a lot of it. My goal this weekend is to catch up on sleep. Also, I discovered that I lack the skills necessary to write a good ‘I Am’ poem. But I’m going to work on that. Mr. Nelson is...

I think that I’ve found a pretty good balance between work and play in my life. If things continue the way they’re going, this year should be pretty fantastic. And I may even get a six-pack from laughing so much. Hahah.

Semester Two, Day Three
Three days into the semester, and so far I’m still super psyched about all my classes. Well, not so much Calculus, but I think after we settle into a routine in the class it’ll turn out being pretty alright. I can’t wait to read 1984 for lit., last time I read it, I didn’t finish it because AP tests and things came and I had trouble finding time to do anything else. I even...

Semester Two, Day One
Today was the first day back to good old Lecanto High School, and all in all, I think that it went rather well. Taking four AP courses at the same time seemed like it was going to be a terrible idea at first, but after today, it feels like I made the right decision. Sitting in my seat, listening to the teachers give their first-day-of-class speeches, it just felt right. I feel like I’m in...
